HANG
This summer, BAFTA and Olivier Award winning playwright Debbie Tucker Green (random, truth and reconciliation) returns to the Royal Court Theatre. Her gripping new play “Hang”, follows one woman declaring her final decision in a world where the victims of crimes have the last say in their perpetrator’s ultimate punishment.
The cast includes Oscar-nominated Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Without A Trace, Broadchurch, The Amen Corner) alongside Claire Rushbrook (My Mad Fat Diary, Stoning Mary) and Shane Zaza (Behind the Beautiful Forevers, Happy Valley).
Debbie Tucker Green’s previous plays for the Royal Court include truth and reconciliation (which she also directed), random and stoning mary. Other plays “Born bad” (for which she won an Olivier Award). She won a BAFTA for Best Single Drama for her Channel 4 film adaptation of “Random” which she also directed. Her debut feature film Second Coming (writer/director) stars Nadine Marshall and Idris Elba and is released in June.
