Invitation to Black History Month event at City Hall – King Lear

As part of this year’s Black History Month events at City Hall, the Greater London Authority will be screening the Black-led production of King Lear on Friday 14 October 2016. This film, which was commissioned by The Space (Arts Council and the BBC funded) and the British Council as part of Shakespeare Lives, stars Don Warrington as Lear. This presentation is the stage-to-screen film of Talawa and Royal Exchange Theatre’s sell out production filmed in the round at Manchester’s Royal Exchange theatre.

Registration starts from 5pm and the screening begins at 5.30pm in Committee Room 5. This will be followed by a panel discussion.  Tickets are free, but you need to register on Eventbrite with this following link:
