“Office politics’ can often have negative connotations. However given the different people within an organisation with varying interests, motivations and behaviours, being politically astute is essential for individuals to be effective in their roles and progress their careers.

This seminar delivers a better understanding of what “office politics” is, why opting out is not an option and will equip you with the necessary skills to navigate this sensitive topic.  The session will be hosted by Shearman & Sterling (London) LLP in association with the Black Solicitors Network (“BSN“), City Group Creating Pathways and led by Joanna Gaudoin of Inside Out Image. Joanna helps ambitious individuals and their organisations to develop their competitive edge and achieve their goals for professional success.

This seminar is provided for BSN members including, in particular, the 2021 mentee cohort of BSN’s Creating Pathways mentoring and sponsorship programme.
