BSN/Rare: Demanding Race Fairness at Work panel event 24 November at 8.30am

In June, the Black Solicitors Network (BSN) penned an open letter to law firms, asking them to ‘walk the talk’ in relation to racial equality. In July, Rare launched the Race Fairness Commitment, a roadmap to creating race fairness at work. The overwhelming response from law firms stepping up with both calls to action demonstrates their desire to move the dial on race, and realisation that there is still a lot of work to be done.

For our inaugural BSN and Rare collaboration, we have brought together a panel of experts, chaired by BSN’s Paulette Mastin, to discuss how to demand race fairness at work. Our panellists will share their experiences of being a Black lawyer and advice on how to turn dialogue on race into proactive change. It is only through decisive action that we can improve fairness and give an equal chance of success at work for people of all ethnic backgrounds.
