BSN North: Breaking the Fast – Iftar

Khizra Mosque & Community Centre in north Manchester has a tradition of welcoming people from all backgrounds to the Centre and this year will be no different.

Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting, is now upon us, and in the spirit of friendship and conversation we hope to give Members of BSN North an engaging insight into the life of a Muslim in Ramadan.

Each day those who are observing Ramadan will break the fast (known as Iftar) at sunset.

Please join us on 31^st May 2018 as we are taken on a tour of Khizra Mosque.

The free visit will comprise a guided tour of the mosque, a look at the communal preparations for the Iftar as well as a short presentation followed by full meal and networking.

Due to Ramadan falling in the summer months, the breaking of the fast takes place quite late in the day, just after 9.00pm. The tours will commence at 8.00pm and the gathering should be concluded at around 10.00pm.
