Dear members,
Black History Month is here and we at BSN are excited to share with you our roster of inspirational events for the month of October, showcasing outstanding achievements and contributions from the BME community to British society.
Tuesday 1 October 2019
We kicked off our Black History Month celebrations on 1 October with an event hosted by BSN City Group and Linklaters, featuring Trevor Faure, former Global General Counsel of EY and CEO of Smarter Law Solutions. The event was entitled Smarter Law: transforming busy lawyers into business leaders.
We were delighted that so many of you were able to come along and we hope you enjoyed the evening.
Special thanks to Trevor for his engaging address and for sharing his inspirational and ground-breaking pathways to success.

Our second event was an event hosted by BSN City Group and Facebook, held on 14 October. The event, entitled “Working In-House with Companies of the Future” was a panel discussion with an opportunity for network. Thank you to all that attended for a great evening of discussion and networking.

Our grand finale Black History Month event will take place on 31 October and will be hosted by BSN in association with Bloomberg L.P. This is the second instalment of BSN’s Big Conversation events on race equality. The first was held last year September and covered race equality in the criminal justice system and in the legal profession. This year’s event will involve a panel discussion with thought leaders covering issues around the educational attainment gap and the legal profession’s leaky pipeline.
