BSN City Group launches ‘Creating Pathways through Mentoring and Sponsorship’ programme
On Tuesday 26 July 2016, BSN City Group launched its Creating Pathways through Mentoring and Sponsorship programme at an event hosted by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
This followed a successful pilot programme in 2014/2015, aimed at providing mid-level BME lawyers with access to insights and perspectives on professional development from outside their organisations and to develop cross-firm mentoring relationships between senior and mid-level BME lawyers both in private practice and in-house.
The programme has a one year term, commencing in Autumn 2016, and involves a formal application process, the result of which will be notified to applicants in September/October 2016. The programme will be supplemented with periodic professional/leadership skills workshop seminars hosted by our sponsor firms and institutions around the City.
If you are an aspirational BME lawyer (in private practice or in-house) with approximately 2-6 PQE and are interested in joining the programme as a mentee, please complete the Mentee application form which can be downloaded from BSN – Mentoring Application Form and email it to mentoring@blacksolicitorsnetwork.org with the heading ‘Mentee Application’ by 5 September 2016.
If you are a senior lawyer (Counsel/Partner or Senior In-house Counsel) and are interested in participating in the programme as a mentor, please contact us at mentoring@blacksolicitorsnetwork.org for further information. We welcome mentors from BME and non-BME backgrounds to participate in the programme.
If you have any queries regarding the programme, please email
